Design Awards + Honors
The AIA Santa Fe Design Awards + Honors program is an annual celebration recognizing excellence in architecture and service within the Santa Fe design community.
Juried by distinguished professionals from outside New Mexico, the Design Awards honor projects by Chapter members that exemplify exemplary, outstanding, or solid design principles through Honor, Merit, and Commendation distinctions.
The Honors component acknowledges individuals and firms for distinguished service and lasting contributions to the profession. Awards include the Architectural Service Award, Turquoise Medal, Firm Award, and Associate Award, each selected by the Chapter’s Executive Committee based on criteria such as design excellence, innovation, community service, and leadership.
The program fosters public appreciation of architecture and elevates professional standards, reinforcing AIA Santa Fe’s commitment to design integrity and civic engagement. Awardees are celebrated at a signature annual event that brings together members, partners, and the broader community.
