Woven Architecture is seeking an experienced full-time PROJECT ARCHITECT with commercial project experience in ofice, government, historic projects, and hospitality. Our ideal candidate is adept at documentation, cares about design, is familiar with both AutoCAD and Revit, can work independently and as part of a team, is well organized, and curious. We encourage leadership, including taking informed chances to move a project forward, the ability to coordinate and lead consultants, and to meet with owners and clients.

Responsibilities:

§ Assist in moving existing projects through all design phases, including measured drawings, programming and concept design, through construction administration – with the goal of taking over leadership of individual projects.

§ Continue to foster long-term, repeat client relationships through creative design solutions.

§ Bring curiosity, design approaches, and creative ideas on how to solve design problems into the ofice.

§ Actively participate in collaboration within the ofice.

§ Assistance with developing design ideas into clear concepts for clients and owners.

§ Assist in documenting code requirements and incorporating regulatory and code information into design documents

Qualifications:

§ Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Architecture or related design field.

§ Minimum 6+ years of experience in architecture or related field; ideally 8 – 10 years.

§ Active Architectural license in a US state preferred.

§ Advanced knowledge and experience in Revit and AutoCAD is ideal (we use both).

§ Knowledge of Bluebeam and the Microsoft Ofice Suite (Word, Excel, Project).

§ Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite a plus.

Responsibilities

Work under firm Principal to perform management of office activities.

Organize office operations and procedures

Manage billing and bookkeeping for the office

Prepare payroll and tax payments / filings

Assist firm principal in marketing operations and preparing proposals

Manage office filing and IT systems

Maintenance of firm website and social media accounts

Perform basic office scheduling and correspondence

Basic clerical functions.

Our ideal candidate is a proven self-starter, able to execute projects with minimal direction, works well under pressure, able to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and be able to work individually or in a team.  At a minimum, you should be experienced in putting together a quality set of Construction Documents for small commercial or custom residential projects on your own, with the ability to plug into a project team for larger projects. This position envisions growth into full project management role over time.

Setup and management of Revit Models for commercial projects.

Work under firm Principal / Project Architect for development of working drawings for bidding, Permitting & Construction for a variety of project types ranging from small to large scale projects.

Conceptual design work including 3d Modeling, rendering and presentation graphics.

Ability to perform research on a variety of variety of topics ranging from building typology, programming, ecology and materials.

Energy modeling

Understanding of how a building is put together and ability to assemble a high quality set of drawings
